Full disclosure: I got this frame from a French friend and when it arrived I blew up at him, “It’s not a rectangle, it’s a trapezoid!” Indeed, it’s a bit wonky but it’s hard to be angry with a 400 year-old beauty. The gorgeous Italian carving features my favorite motif — gadrooning — that gives a running light effect. I think it’s a nice complement to the sweet sleeping kitty. Overall dim: 12.5” w x 11” h
