This is a mash up of two different styles that make a happy marriage. This early 20th c oil is fresh from the painting conservator where it was cleaned and corrected to make a gorgeous fresh-looking canvas. The chisel-gouged folk frame has painted flowers that match the painting’s tones and give the package a lighthearted feel. I could have gone with a more traditional or expected frame but this is such a happy match — and perfectly sized — that I chose to see it as pairing kismet. Overall dim: 28” w x 22” h
